Happiest People on Earth? Indians, of course!

Starting from Happy holidays...Merry X-mas, Happy New Year is not the very end........2011 will be a year to value the most!!

2010: A Year of "HAPPY PEOPLE"
India shares an honest piece of appreciation of being not the happiest country but the country with the most happy people on earth.
The Worlds' Happiest Countries List clearly mentions Scandinavian States of Europe(Denmark,Norway,Sweden,Netherlands,Finland) followed by Costa Rica, New Zealand, Australia, Switzerland, Canada, Israel, Panama and Brazil. The survey took into account various parameters in study like basic necessities and luxuries, law and order, education, employment opportunities, career growth, corruption, health and family planning, national institutions, environmental ethics, religions and festivals, etc. Indeed these countries are the best in terms of Human Development Index and World Prosperity Index.
But where our country India Stands?
The Answer is here...

  • We are proud to be Indians and we don't want any survey which maligns our country's reputation and prosperity in terms of Corruption, Caste System, Politics, TRP driven Media, Unemployable Graduates, Rural Sanitation, Price Rise and Environment Hazards(many more but then i will end it up somewhere else!)
  • We are proud to have the Largest Written Constitution in the Biggest Democratic country with the Largest Youth Population. The Country which provides Food and Shelter to the Terrorists and Extremists but no security to its Own Citizens.

  • We salute the Armed Forces, Doctors and Teachers who have taken the country to great heights in Defence, Medical, IT and Core Industrial Services. We also respect our Politicians who make us Fight over Mothertongue,Religion, Native Place and Caste System

  • We are proud of  Great Saints like Nanak, Mahavir,Buddha,Paramhansa, Vivekanand, Dayanand, Rahim, Kabir, Mother  Teresa,Sister Nivedita, and Freedom Fighters like Bhagat Singh, Bose, Azad, Tilak, Patel and many others who have taken India to the World. We are also thankful to Notable people in National Parties that have set examples how Indians exploit the Country's Assets and Income to fill their own petty pockets. I congratulate all the upcoming millionaires and billionaires who have really made our CWG, 2G Spectrum, Naxalism and Cross Border Terrorism, Wikileaks Leaks, Price Rise, Corruption in Government Organizations a tremendous success. We will surely follow your footprints to further steal our own country and overload the Foreign Banks.

And finally i am thankful to all the media channels and newspapers who everytime come up with stories like Who Kissed Who, Who Slapped Where and Why, Who Danced Hot, Who Sold Shit,Who Became God and Who Met Aliens. Really Nostalgic!

Yes, We Indians are very much into habit of this. Despite of such Evils in our Society We embrace on Comedy Circus(Remember the Woman who laughs at her best on too much adult jokes? ), Laughter Challenge(That Cricketer turned Politician turned Actor(wow such a varietal personality) who really shows us a 100 reasons to laugh on screen) and Bigg Boss1,2,3 and 4 (public demand)...

(The Participants dont know that the Channel Viewers Laugh on them, so BARE for money!!) and yes these have become our role models. Gone are the days when people start fighting for getting a glimpse of Madhubala or Hema Malini...Janaab abhi toh Munni Badnaam hui aur Charche Sheila Ki Jawaani Ke hai!!!

Happy Holidays!!! May this New Year Bring More and More Happiness to my country(of dreams)...

P.S : There is a lot to think and lot to work. i don't say that writing a blog i can change a nation but yes i only know that i have made an impact to the one who is reading this post now. TY

A Trip To Eastern Chhattisgarh

Chhattisgarh is full of surprises. I should say that it is full of adventure like on a hunt to discover hidden and untouched places and to enjoy the everlasting feelings of being a part of nature's greatest gifts. We booked a Tata Sumo and all 9 friends went for the ride to search the beauty and thrills of  dense forested regions near the river Mahanadi. I am sharing my travel experience as i visited the famous Sirpur Town in the north and  Khallari Temple which lies near the Eastern Border of Chhattisgarh-Orissa.

Sirpur lies around 80 kms from Raipur, capital city of chhattisgarh. Sirpur is a Buddhist Monastry which was once dominated by Dakhshin Koshal Empire which also served as the then capital. The First Hindu Temple built entirely by FireBricks known as Laxman Temple is situated here. Bulk of foreigners do visit this town . the entire town is conserved by Archaeological Survey of India(ASI). Dating back to 7th century AD, the Chinese scholar and traveller Hiuen Tsang. here we can find archaelogical relics and pieces of Hindu, Jain, Buddhist religions of the same era showing the similarlty between their thoughts and practices.

The Museum boasts some of the very beautiful scultures of Hindu gods and goddess alongwith Buddha and Mahavir. Small sculptures of animals made up of clay and rocks are marvellous. The engravings in ancient Devanagairi script is worth to experience.

Next we moved on to the sandy coasts of River Mahanadi. the blue glittering cool waters of the river was much relaxing. we all enjoyed playing with the waters and really it was a memorable experience to all.

We continued our journey through the dense forests of East Chhattisgarh. Driving along the smooth road to Mahasamund,we had our lunch in a nearby restaurant. Delicious and yes Satisfying. Soon we came to our Destination. Khallari Temple, with 815 stairs all cemented and in cascading manner, the temple is dedicated to  Hindu goddess Ma Khallari. It is mainly a group of cave temples each cave dedicated to different sadhus and wild animals as they are believed  to get alive during night to worship the goddess(according to Hindu Mythology).

The beautiful mountain top view of the Bagbahara Town from the Khallari Mountain was breathtaking. the feeling aroused just like the wind came to play with us. We were astonished to gaze the Mountain Ranges of Orissa that were visible in the misty far sight. Yes it was a journey to remember the most. Vibrant Chhattisgarh with its Green Adobe..wow just amazing!!! :)

Krishna...

The Saint and Lord
I find the entire journey of Krishna much fascinating then any of the Hindu Lords ever heard.
The reason?
Meaning of Krishna: in sanskrit it stands for "the dark one".
Worshipped all around the globe as one of the Dashavataras of Lord Vishnu, is the symbol of purity, playfulness, gaeity and art.
one can find krishna idols with the flute and in pairs with Radha as her Sangini.
Depicted in different forms in Bhagvad Gita, Vishnu Puraan and Mahabharata Krishna is still considered as the Supreme Being in Hindu Mythology and Traditional Culture.
Hariharan, Vitthala, Jagannath, Gopala are some of the regional names of Lord Krishna.
Mentioned in Mahabharata as the then King of Dwarka, Friend of Pandavas and Father of Samba.
The entire saga of lord Krishna from a prince to a King is very inspirational.
i am not going to describe each and every element of his life in this post but rather really focus some of the incidents that we should take into account. His life and his teachings to Arjuna that later transformed into Geeta can be taken in today's changing world.
When Yashoda finds Krishna eating mud she gets horrified by the fact that the whole universe is within him inside his mouth.Astonishing isnt it?At many places in Mahabharata he has been described as an immortal power that guides Arjuna to fight against his brothers in Kurukshetra War. Does that mean he has an immaterial body? The questions do not end here. We find him as a Supreme Being when Duryodhana tries to arrest Krishna showing all the forms of life within his body in a gigantic manner.
Krishna inspires us to search the inner soul..search for righteousness...spirituality within physical forms.. transcendental life and knowledge to learn and earn respect...he adds colors and joviality to life, freedom and individuality to think and transforming to immortality.
Vaishnavs, Ahmediya-Islam, Jainism and Buddhism also depict his glory and presence in their respective holy texts.Krishna teaches us not to lose hope and focus on your goal, never compromise in life when you know that it may hurt you in the future, diplomacy should be entertained but up to a limit when you get your results.
Be patient and Be calm in taking every decision but your work should be fast and aggressive.
Krishna finds his way to international society who bring his teachings to the outside world.
ISKCON is the leading society that is regenerating the morals and ethics to the East and West to learn what Krishna left for us. For me Krishna is immortal, immaterial and immense. He is the power that every one should get benefited. Hare Krishna.

I.N.D.I.A

India: In Word and Image

                                    15th August 2010

yes India is celebrating the 64th Independence Day today....64 years of being free...independent from the foreign rule. India has come a very long way...but somewhere the country itself lost its freedom and patriotism.
Where do we all Indians irrespective of religion, caste, language and community stand?
The answer is yet to be discovered.

We all love to express our patriotism whenever 15th August comes but what happens the next day?
We love to wish our friends and colleagues on FACEBOOK, ORKUT and YAHOO MESSENGER
even there are flags and roses made on your text messages that you eagerly wait to get and deliver on this very day!
We all listen to patriotic songs sung by Lata Mangeshkar and Mohd.Rafi ....
We often watch movies like Border and Gandhi but do we really make this our daily routine?
Why we forget about the great Indian Army and security forces who lost their lives during independence, what about their families?just think about it...
People start playing songs on loudspeakers indicating that we all are celebrating the independence.....
but do we really think about our countrymen who are suffering the pains of prise rise, starvation and acute poverty?
Do they have the money to buy gifts or feed their family on independence day?
I started my day with enjoying masala dosa and jalebies but what about the hungry child who just got some coins...he will go and buy out flags and get some mithais...for him it is his celebration.....
but for us ?

Do we really have that much sincerity towards our nation? Many of you have prepared a song or speech to present in your college or workplace .....
but what after that? do we all follow what we demand for? we start complaining about corruption, caste system, poverty and illiteracy....but what happens when we just end up?
the answer is we forget our responsibility....
there is a saying that ROME WAS NOT BUILT IN A DAY...so was not INDIA

I love my country because i love my people who irrespective of multicultural society celebrate each and every festival with the same zeal and manner. My people negotiate on the basis of caste and religion everyday like the people of Russia and Afghanistan.
My people always follow the tradition of "atithi-devo-bhava" and "satyameva jayate"
All work and eat together and for me this way they all celebrate freedom everyday
Our Constitution is the Largest Written Constitution that gives every single Indian to enjoy

  1. The right to equality
  2. The right to freedom
  3. The right to freedom from exploitation
  4. The right to freedom of religion
  5. Cultural and educational rights
  6. The right to constitutional remedies
  7. The right to Education
64 years have passed but still our majority of the population is youth and definitely India has achieved things very quickly and dynamically
I am proud to be an Indian who enjoys the distinction of living in a country with so many variety of cultures that change every 1 mile...
I am proud to be a part of the world's largest democracy
I am proud to be a part of the world's second most populous country
I am proud to be a part of the world's fourth largest economy
fastest developing nation...emerging world superpower and fastest producer of talents in each and every field
where cricket is a religion and people worship people
where freedom flows in the air and tranquility in the waters

I m a part of that country that once was ruled by the Aryans, Dravidians and Moguls who gave us marvels of architecture like Qutub Minaar and Taj Mahal.
the Mahabharata , Ramayana ,Geeta, Vedas- Upanishads, Guru Grantha Sahib, Jataka Katha, Theravada, Agamas, etc. that enlightened the country with spirituality and purity of minds.
Himalayas, Deserts, Rain forests,Wildlife....INDIA has got everything.

But still we as Indians have many challenges..and the biggest challenge is to fight for internal security...the country is facing the problems like Cross Border Terrorism and Naxal Menace. We should support our Government and get united to fight against all odds and inequalities. Social Issues such as Prise Rise, Unemployment, Roti-Kapda-Makaan, Corruption should be tackled in a joint manner and for this India have to start a Revolution to get Complete Freedom and yes INDEPENDENCE will then only find a correct meaning
lets pledge altogether to

MAKE INDIA A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE

                     PROUD TO BE AN INDIAN

          JAI HIND JAI BHARAT

Naxal Bandh...What The F?

hmmm....finally there is another bandh now...not by the opposition parties but by the opposite ppl....MAOISTS !

Hey let me tell you first i m a Bengali by birth (that doesn't mean that i follow or support the Left Parties..their ideas are of the bygone era...their ideologies don't match our current sentiments)
and yes i was brought up in the cities of  Nagpur and Jabalpur very much near to the Maoist infested regions of the central state of Chhattisgarh..and surprisingly i'm doing my graduation from Raipur, the Capital City of this state. And Sadly i have got only one such Super-fast train that connects my present city to Raipur.
So whenever i have to make a reservation i just check the wait-list and get myself confirmed that boy you have to travel by bus now...beggars cannot be choosers. No more options.
And my "last hope" travels through a Naxal affected area...sad...very sad :(
and the saddest part is when i have to travel on Naxal Bandh!

Nowadays Naxalites have got an Easy Way by blowing off the railway tracks and blocking trains....my family members are in much more trouble than myself..u know?
Lets us return to the issue....What does a Bandh in a republic or say a democratic nation like us?
Demanding to get the nations attention towards your hardship...is it so?
then why the hell are 'THEY' calling for Bandhs?
is our nation so much weak to handle such a situation?
i consider that if we use army then the government have to cut out short the force from the international boundaries and then there will be a high risk of infiltration and cross border terrorism in Kashmir and North-East.....Can't we strengthen our Police Force....?
I agree that Naxals are our own people who just lost their aims and are following the path of violence because of failure in talks to the government....
But why should we common people suffer?
Aren't we also the citizens of this nation?
or Should we also start using explosives and blow off  every little thing just to get the Center or States' attention?

The tribal people of Bastar or say Lalgarh dont even know why they are supporting the Naxals!

Small children and Women are getting training in Naxal Camps around the nation to fight against our own system..has our system failed?..is it what we want?
No...
Just think over the issue.....blame the government that it didnt ever tried to understand the demands of the Naxals and the real poor people who face the real challenges of poverty malnutrition and corruption as well....
I don't blame Miss A.Roy for supporting Naxals...better i would say she is supporting their demands of giving them social privilege and equal status for their living.
I don't even blame the government as well....Not a diplomatic but still....i think the schemes and different facilities for the poor rural people haven't reached to them properly because of the level of corruption in the ministerial level. I would rather thank the government of the states suffering from RED TERROR that they have really done superb job in case of education and health sector..i just want even the whole country wants something more from you....just stop this kind of Bandhs and Hartals because they are totally ANTI-DEMOCRATIC and ANTI-SOCIAL and let the Maoists feel that they can't get success without joining the mainstream...

A sincere appeal from a novice blogger-

STOP THE HARTALS AND BANDHS....STOP THE CORRUPTION...STOP SOCIAL TERRORISM first!

Bharat Bandh...:(

So finally we are supporting Bharath Bandh...hey hold on why are we supporting it...?

you aint protesting it then obviously supporting it...isnt it?

hey...look at the above picture that i got from NDTV.com all nine squares with something different meaning but yes depicting  the same purpose that is BHARAT BANDH.

#1. Some lunatic guys who always enjoy to take a ride on India's largest public property i.e Railways...they don't feel ashamed of travelling without tickets and now they blame the government for escalating prices...has railways anything got to do with your price rise issue? go get a life guys...

#2. Empty roads......everything affected badly..just think of the guy who is passing by in this picture..he has nothing to do with the bandh...if he is a shopkeeper then he losses worth lakhs in business and you people cry for price rise?

#3. Policemen and security personals ....they are having a great day..atleast they can blame the government as they are doing their 'WORK' and they got some real 'RESPONSIBILTY" towards their nation.

#4. Public Transport, Buses all are useless this day..the driver and the conductor wont get the pay...the common passengers are gonna suffer the most...all the business transactions getting an expensive blow...a loss of some Crores....and you still blame the government for Price Rise?

#5. People waiting at the terminals..they got a reason to blame the authorities who are supporting the bandh...some may lost their job interviews..some may skip their family functions and ceremonies...some may even cry for the cancellation of their honeymoon trip :)

#6.Dancing Politicians...atleast they can get a chance to perform at JHALAK DIKHLA JA or CHAK DHOOM DHOOM for their extraordinary dancing talents in public! a real bliss ....

#7.Lock kar diya jaaye? yes....all colleges, institutions, schools locked down....teachers enjoying and students playing....education sector lags behind for a complete MONTH as compared to other countries,,,say hurrah!

#8.Shops Closed ....nothing to say!

#9.Cancelled...Cancelled...Cancelled......but BHARATH BANDH continues....waah re public tera kya kehna....

and what about me?
ohh...i m the same citizen of India who knows everything but cant dare to oppose the system. this is what we have become now..all blindfolded...BHARAT BLINDFOLDED...
